I grew up in Mumbai, India in a rich and complex culture that led me to my most deeply-held conviction: that education is meant to help every learner discover and develop their strengths, use them to create, connect and solve problems that are meaningful to them and their communities.

I thrive by creating clarity amidst uncertainty to deliver tangible results across the education, technology sectors. I have been a technologist for 10 years, was a middle-and-high school educator for 15 years, and a consultant on educator professional development, parent advocacy for 10 years. As a mission-driven innovator, I strive to transform fundamental societal systems through high-scale products and programs that empower individuals, communities, and organizations with responsible technology use, while tackling complex challenges that impact our world. This requires a multi-disciplinary, innovative, whole-systems approach. I have cultivated diverse expertise to drive meaningful change across various domains.

As an educator, I have taught, advised, and provided professional development, working to modernize curricula. I am an avid reader, researcher, and writer, sharing insights through blogs, magazines, radio and TV.

As a technologist, I have developed v1 products across productivity, AI, devices, curricula, and content management. My AI-generated handwriting recognition earned recognition as one of three leading female innovators at Microsoft.

The Art of Education is a practice in lifelong giving and learning. Through service, writing, speaking and community connections Anoo learns, serves communities, and defines new models for transforming education.

Moreover, as Chief of Staff for Microsoft Education, I have played a pivotal role in aligning industry goals, bridging cross-disciplinary expertise, and developing customer-centric solutions. This encompasses strategic planning, business impact reporting, budget management, finance reporting, and efficient operations.

I am focused on leveraging technology to transform education and tackle paradigm-shifting problems requiring innovative solutions. With expertise spanning strategy, product development, operations, and execution across diverse groups, I am uniquely positioned to drive meaningful change in education and beyond.

I live in Seattle with my partner and two sons. A maker at heart, I spend my time creating, being in my body, and slowing down my curious mind. I love to read, write, run/hike/row, garden, cook with my sons, give back, travel, solve puzzles and play board games.
